Study of Isaiah, Part 29
God's love, compassion, mercy, forgiveness, and grace are often talked about and they certainly should be. But we often neglect to remember that Jesus is the righteous judge. With His godly knowledge and wisdom, He is the only one qualified to serve as a judge that not only knows the known facts He can judge the intent of the heart.
Study of Isaiah, Part 28
Isaiah has been sharing not only about the time he was living in, but also the near future and the distant future. He lays out the facts as if ready to present to a jury for them to make the decision. The NLT says in 41:1, "the court is ready for your case." What is your verdict?
Study of Isaiah, Part 27
After prophesying the fall of Israel and the dangers of trusting in the strength and abilities of man, God promises comfort, restoration, and rescue through trusting in God and later on the Messiah.
Study of Isaiah, Part 26
Isaiah uses the language of farming to depict the various seasons. The bible tells that everything has a season. We are in the season of planting and harvest but it appears that this season is about to come to a close and then the season of judgment.
Study of Isaiah, Part 25
Isaiah promised a stone--a tested stone and a sure foundation. Each of those prophecies were fulfilled in Christ Jesus. He is a proven cornerstone. He is the only foundation that will withstand the storms of life.
Study of Isaiah, Part 24
Isaiah compares the nation of Israel to a fading flower or a gem that has lost it's luster. How many families, nations, and individuals have started great but lost their godly focus and therefore became a fading flower?
Study of Isaiah, Part 23
The end for the ungodly is very bleak. But for the Redeemed, the future is awesome! As a matter of fact, God's word tells us that we shall have everlasting joy! What does your future look like?
Study of Isaiah, Part 22
Isaiah is full of promises but also full of warnings. For those walking in obedience we have nothing to fear because Jesus already won. We need to heed the warnings and and walk in His obedience
Study of Isaiah, Part 21
Today's study brings great news for the believer and terrible news for the non-believer. We are eternal beings we will spend eternity somewhere. Where will you spend eternity?
Study of Isaiah, Part 20
In the midst of warning of very difficult times, Isaiah shares the thought that the Prince of Peace would keep us in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee. Do you focus on the waves or the one who walks on the waves.
Study of Isaiah, Part 19
In chapter 24 Isaiah prophecies great doom and distress; but in chapter 25 he declares that God will swallow up death forever!
Study of Isaiah, Part 18
Isaiah shares with us the fall of Babylon. Like many prophecies, it appears to have dual meaning. The fall of Babylon and the fall of sinful man. The wrath of God is a terrible thing that I never want to see or experience.
Study of Isaiah, Part 17
God gave warning after warning to the kingdoms of Israel and Judah, but they kept ignoring them. Even after seeing prophecies being fulfilled, they continued to ignore the warnings of God. Are we doing the same today? Are you ignoring God's warnings?
Study of Isaiah, Part 16
Isaiah gives a strong warning and indictment against those who have forsaken God. He warns each of us that His hand is stretched out, and who can thwart or stop Him and His plan?
Study of Isaiah, Part 15
Tonight we look at Isaiah chapters 11 and 12 that lets us know that God will be bringing the Jews back to their homeland. When? In that Day. What does that mean? Let's look and see!
Study of Isaiah, Part 14
In the midst of the warnings to the nation of Israel for their backsliding, Isaiah reminds them of the future. That a branch would shoot forth out of the stump of Jesse and would be a place of refuge for them.
Study of Isaiah, Part 13
Following a warning of judgement, Isaiah gives us some great words of encouragement. He reminds us that a remnant will be saved and the anointing or the Spirit of God enables us to break the bondage that Satan has placed on us.
Study of Isaiah, Part 12
Isaiah continues to warn the nation of Israel and us that correction is coming. We either heed and yield to Him now or will be destroyed later. We must constantly remind ourselves that the creator is much greater than the created.
