The Blessings of Olive Oil
In this series by Chaplain Lou, we learn that Christians are portrayed as Olives and Olive trees in the Bible and as such, are a life-giving source of nourishment and hope to the world. Most importantly, as gentile Christians, we are engrafted into the Olive Tree called the body of Jesus Christ. Jesus was crushed and bruised to provide the world salvation. Unfortunately, that needs to happen to us to provide the world with the gifts and talents God has given us. Lastly, we will also learn about the special anointing oil that was instituted by God through Moses and how it represents your gifts and the effect your ministry has on others.
The First Week of Ministry For Jesus
Join us as we study the life of Christ. We start by looking at Jesus’ first week of ministry, and how he moved from being ordinary to extraordinary. Then we dig into the concept of being born again, and finish off with a study of what real love looks like.
The Blood of Jesus
The “Blood of Jesus” sounds like an outdated, or gross, metaphor for some ancient religion. That’s one of the reasons so many people misunderstand it’s power. It is not an ancient religion, but a powerful weapon against the forces of darkness.
The blood of Jesus frees us, justifies us, redeems us, and gives us confidence as it cleans us.
Join us as we take a deep dive into the purpose of the Blood of Jesus, why he had to be crucified, and why it’s the purest payment for our sins.
Gifts of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the most powerful ally against the forces of darkness. He is God, and He is given as a gift to believers.
But the Holy Spirit also gives gifts to the believer. Those gifts are only accessed through the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, the next logical step in your Christian walk.
The Holy Spirit himself is divided into 7 spirits which are pictures as flying around the throne of God in the book of Revelation. They settled on Jesus, and at Pentecost, they divided on the worshippers in the upper room. And those very same gifts settle on us today.
Secrets of Spiritual Gifts
The Holy Spirit is the most powerful ally against the forces of darkness. He is God, and He is given as a gift to believers. But to many Christian believers, the Holy Spirit is mystical and mysterious, and many actually fear the Holy Spirit and his movements.
We are spiritual beings, and were designed to walk in communion with God’s Holy Spirit. His purpose is to help us be a witness to the world of God’s saving grace, as well as give us strength and power to withstand the temptations and wickedness of the enemy. Further, He has given us gifts to educate and mature the body of Christ.
The Holy Spirit isn’t weird, mysterious, or something to be feared. He is a wonderful gift meant for all believers! This series will help us have an understanding of the Holy Spirit, His purpose, and His gifts.
