Welcome to the OAG Host Team! Our Host Team is comprised of men and women that are eager to go the second mile for everyone that attends one of our weekly services. Whether you’ve been a part of our team for decades or if you're just starting your journey, we’re excited that you are stepping up to help us make an impact in the lives of everyone that walks through our doors! This training guide will give you all the info you need to begin serving on the team and impacting lives. 🙌


Greeter Training: Steps to Becoming an Effective Member of our Host Team

Step 1: Greeter Video Tutorials 💪🏻

When you branch out and start something new, it can often create a degree of anxiety. 😬 One of the best ways to overcome anxiety with anything new is to do everything you can to be prepared. We know you want to do your best and serve our people well and that’s why we developed these videos. In these 4 videos below, you’ll discover the basics of becoming an awesome greeter! These videos should help you understand what your purpose is as a greeter and why your individual role is vitally important to our church, answer the ‘why’ question for this ministry, and help you be more effective at welcoming our people to church.

Step 3: Meet with Pastor Scott (if you are a new member of our Host Team) 🤝

You might be wondering, ‘Why do I need to meet with Pastor Scott?’ Below are a few reasons why we ask all new members to our Host Team to meet with him.

  1. During the meeting, Pastor Scott will sit down to answer any questions you have that have not been answered here so that you feel more confident. So make sure that if you have questions, write them down and bring them with you.

  2. Pastor Scott will walk you around the campus to show you all the major areas of interest so you will be prepared to promptly help our people and guests.

  3. Pastor Scott will make sure you are all set with Planning Center Services so that you can utilize it to its fullest potential.
