Summary: Alton Garrison once said "the true key to self esteem is figuring out what God made you to be and then being it." As we read Paul's letters of encouragement to Timothy, we find Paul encouraging Timothy, his Son in the faith, to stir up the gift that is in him, and to not allow the perception of others to hold him back but to keep fighting the good fight of faith. Doing this, he would be victorious and accomplish all that God intended him to do.
